kids bedrooms

Each of the kids bedrooms are the same size and layout. 3 x 3.8 meters with a wardrobe that hides away behind sliding doors. The rooms have one opening floor to ceiling window for natural light, and looking straight out into the bush.

We decided that all bedrooms in the house should feel cosy and warm with woolen carpet, we chose Cavalier Bremworth Galet Chert for its beautiful loop pile and sandy colour.

goldie’s bedroom

For our little girl Goldie, we wanted her room styled as an obvious sweet girls room, but not sickly sweet with garish pink. We came to the perfect compromise with Dulux Hopelands Half, which is a creamy subtle tone of pink, and we paired it with Dulux Iron Pot used in the custom drawers.

Alex made a bow shaped wall art from dried flowers, including her wedding flowers.

There are a few sentimental touches in this bedroom including porcelain dolls and the Zambucka original art piece, being the first piece of Art Goldie’s Grandmother ever bought, and it was Alex’s in her bedroom as she grew up.

austen’s bedroom

Austen’s bedroom went through many draft plans, until we realised the best thing to do for a three year old with ever-changing taste was to choose a neutral colour palette.

We chose Dulux Lyttleton Double for the wall colour, a grey with green undertones that becomes deeper as it picks up the colour of the foliage outside. Accessorised with bold prints and Austen’s favourite toys to keep it familiar and a happy place for him.

  • Bedding from Castle and Things
