laundry

When we designed the layout of the house, we were limited on the base floor footprint. We considered putting the laundry in the garage so there would be a full room, however after researching the efficiency of cupboard laundries, we were more than happy to plan this as part of our hallway and tucked away behind some grand American Oak sliding doors.

The laundry is in the main hallway of downstairs and offers plenty of bench space and storage space, plus a full linen cupboard.

The laundry is tucked away behind large American Oak sliding doors. The oak was sourced through South Pacific Timbers, and then stopped off with these beautiful handmade brass handles from Powersurge.

The design of the laundry emulates the kitchen use of materials. With Melteca Possum used for the cabinetry, Finger tiles from Artedomus, and for the bench tops we have used the fresh looking Caesarstone in Empira White.
