THE BACKYARD
Our backyard had to be a little …different. The lawn area underneath is actually our retaining wall that supports the downstairs level. It is backfilled with large recycled polystyrene blocks to create a flat surface, and then because there is no soil our only option was to have either pavers or artificial grass. We really wanted a lawn that the kids could safely play sports and run around on, so Artificial grass it was! And we couldn’t be happier about our decision.

We are finding that this is our most used space of the house. The artificial grass provides a mess free space for the kids to play whatever the weather is.
We worked with a company called Teamturf, who had the best selection of realistic grass to choose from.
